Whoa be on to the shepherd,
who leadeth my sheep astray.
Oh what a judgment shall befall the shepherd,
Who on my sheep turn his back and walk away.
Jah set the order and man want to reorder it
The kingdom falling down and Babylon is building over it
Neglect your duty and now you want to know
How it is the place get so?
Black man, return to black children
Tell them that you care for them,
That you’ll always be there for them
Black man, return to your throne,
Don’t leave your wife at home
With those children all alone
Black man, is then and only then
Thine shall be the kingdom again,
the power and the glory, amen.
Full dominion was given,
Over every aspect of the earth
What have you done with that lofty position
Tell me how you measure your worth
You as the shepherd, you let the sheep be scattered
Chasing material gains allowed your weak mind to be flattered
Return to your purpose, return to your fold
Jah kingdom is greater than silver and gold
Man shall leave father and mother
And with his wife he shall build a home
No longer separate but one flesh together
So brother why you gone out to roam?
It is obvious the quandry we are facing
Is simply a result of our shepherds not embracing
Their role in lives of the sheep in their care
Please lead them to still waters, restoreth them there
If the sheep are in danger
Or simply can’t find their way
Being led astray by a stranger
To wolves they are falling prey
Look around yuh bound to see the shepherd is absentee
When the chorus come back sing it if you agree with me
We got crisis in this society
That could never be solved by no political party
